Best of the Springs, Best of Search

How we replaced an aging Duda template with a fast, custom-coded 76-page build for Colorado Springs' back-to-back Best of the Springs winner, so a veteran-owned roofing and restoration contractor ranks the way the community already votes.

The Build

A Website Worthy of the Trophy Case

The new site opens the way the company earns its business: "Colorado Springs' Premier Roofing and Restoration Experts" over Front Range photography, owners Ky and Mike front and center, and the Gazette Best of the Springs wins backed by Malarkey Certified Premium status, BBB accreditation, and the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department license, all verified, all on page one.

The Challenge

Nine Awards, One Aging Template

Fixins Roofing & Restoration is the contractor Colorado Springs keeps voting for: Gold for Best Roofer in The Gazette's Best of the Springs 2025, then nine category wins in 2026 spanning roofing, gutters, windows, remodeling, and restoration. Veteran-owned and led by Ky and Mike since 2008, the company is Malarkey Certified Premium, BBB accredited, and licensed by the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department.

The old Duda template told none of that story. Its title tag stuffed every city and service into one 200-character run-on, the sitemap carried "copy-of" duplicate pages and misspelled slugs like "black-forrest," and the schema was generic boilerplate with no awards, no credentials, and no founding story. An award-winning company was wearing a template's clothes.

  • A 200-character title tag stuffed with every city and service at once
  • Leftover "copy-of" duplicate pages and misspelled slugs live in the sitemap
  • Generic boilerplate schema with no awards, credentials, or founding story
  • A Gold Best Roofer 2025 win announced in a blog post, with no awards page
  • Roofing, restoration, and remodeling crowded into 50 template URLs
  • A veteran-owned, Malarkey-certified story buried in boilerplate copy
The Solution

Seventy-Six Pages, Every Claim Verified

We rebuilt the site the way an adjuster documents a roof: methodically, one section at a time, everything verifiable. Custom code, dedicated pages, and structured data that carries the awards.

A Page for Every Trade

Dedicated pages across all three lines of business: roofing from asphalt shingles to standing seam metal, F-Wave, tile, and flat TPO and EPDM; restoration from storm and water damage to fire, smoke, mold, and odor; and home improvement from decks and siding to windows, baths, and general contracting.

Twenty-One Community Pages

Service-area pages for Colorado Springs, Black Forest, Monument, Briargate, Falcon, Fountain, Manitou Springs, and more, plus restoration-specific pages for the hardest-hit communities and a thirteen-post blog answering hail, insurance, and re-roofing questions.

A Lead Engine, Not a Brochure

A Roofle instant roof quote widget, Hearth financing, LeadConnector chat, and GA4 plus Google Ads conversion tracking wired to every call, form, and email, so every lead the site earns gets counted.

Schema That Carries the Awards

Verified RoofingContractor JSON-LD with the Gold Award, the Malarkey Premium, BBB, and Pikes Peak credentials, the 2008 founding, service areas, and hours, plus a dedicated awards page for all nine 2026 Best of the Springs wins, each linking to the official Gazette listing.

"I love Fixins. I will have no other company on my roof. I make sure they inspect my roof annually and I have referred them to several other people who love them too. Honestly, it makes me look like a rock star when I refer them. Tyler Rice and Mike Pfeiffer are the best in communication and making sure my friends are well taken care of."
Sonia Meeter, five-star Google review
